Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bake sweet potatoes for 45–60 minutes until tender.
  3. Let cool, peel, and mash until smooth.

Make the Filling

  1. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed sweet potatoes and melted butter.
  3. Add sugar, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  5. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Bake the Pie

  1. Pour filling into prepared pie crust.
  2. Bake for 50–55 minutes until center is mostly set.
  3. Cool completely before slicing.
