Double chocolate chip cookies

These double chocolate chip cookies are ultra-rich, soft in the center, and loaded with gooey chocolate chips. If you love chocolate, this recipe is pure heaven!


📝 Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cream Butter & Sugar

  • In a bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy

2. Add Wet Ingredients

  • Mix in eggs one at a time
  • Add vanilla extract and beat well

3. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt

4. Combine

  • Gradually add dry ingredients into wet mixture
  • Fold in chocolate chips

5. Chill the Dough (Important!)

  • Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes for thicker cookies

6. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Scoop dough onto a baking tray
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes

7. Cool & Enjoy

  • Let cookies cool for a few minutes
  • They’ll be soft in the center and slightly crisp on edges

🍽️ Pro Tips

  • Use dark cocoa powder for deeper flavor
  • Slightly underbake for gooey centers 😍
  • Sprinkle a little sea salt on top for a gourmet touch
