Ginger Lemon Water

Ginger lemon water is a warm, refreshing drink made with fresh ginger and lemon. It’s commonly used as a morning or nighttime beverage because of its light, soothing taste and hydrating properties. Many people include it in daily routines to support digestion and overall wellness.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 inches fresh ginger, sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • Juice of ½ to 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • A few mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

Hot Version

  1. Add water and sliced ginger to a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Strain into a cup.
  4. Add lemon juice and honey.
  5. Stir and serve warm.

Cold Version

  1. Steep ginger slices in hot water for 10 minutes.
  2. Let it cool completely.
  3. Add lemon juice and ice.
  4. Stir and serve chilled.
