Where Do You Pour Your Mop Water: The Sink or the Tub?

After cleaning the floors, there is always one little question: Where do you pour the dirty mop water?

Some people head straight to the sink, while others would never dream of doing that and always use the bathtub or shower. It often depends on how you were taught growing up.

The kitchen or bathroom sink may seem convenient, but dirty mop water can contain dust, hair, food particles, and plenty of germs picked up from the floor. The bathtub or shower can be easier to rinse afterward, especially if you have a removable showerhead.

Of course, everyone has their own routine. Some people even use a utility sink, which is probably the ideal option if one is available.

It is funny how ordinary household habits can become such a debate. We all clean our floors, but somehow we can have completely different ideas about what to do with the water afterward!
